It has been revealed that the Celebrity Solstice will soon be going under an extensive refurbishment. The ship will see changes from a new cinema experience to new restaurants on-board after a nine-day dry dock.
The Solstice will have the addition of the brand new Japanese sushi restaurant, Sushi on Five, which will replace Bistro on Five. It will also boast the brand new outdoor cinema “A Taste of Film” which will pair classic films and good food in the Lawn Club. The lawn club will also see new alcove style cabanas to give guests more privacy and let guests choose what they view.
There will be a technology upgrade on the ship as the traditional photo gallery we’ve all come to expect will be replaced by 25 picture kiosks. These kiosks will allow guests to download images straight to their phone to share with friends and family as well as print pictures in a variety of formats.
The changes will be made in October 2016 in just nine days.
The CEO of Celebrity Cruises Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said: “Celebrity Solstice already turns heads with her beautiful design, so these lavish enhancements will ensure our guests never want to leave. When discussions began about what we could do to further enhance the already stunning ‘Solsticized’ ship, we couldn’t think of a better way to delight guests than to offer the multi-sensory A Taste of Film experience, Sushi on Five, the savvy new Art Gallery, and all of the other glimmering finishes. We are offering a truly distinct experience.”
Other upgrades include enhancements of the suites which will become more luxurious and also have new patio furniture as well as a new expansive art gallery.
