Most of us can only ever dream of staying in the top of the range suites, but still, it’s nice to dream right?
For some lucky (and wealthy) people, knowing that you’re staying in the best of the best, the largest and most luxurious suite that the ship has to offer is all that will do!
If you’ve never stayed in the ships best suite before (and let’s be honest – how many of us have!) then here is your insight into the wonderful world of outrageous cruise suites. Butlers and walk in wardrobes? That’s only the beginning…
Royal Caribbean – Royal Loft Suite
Royal Caribbean is reinventing the luxury cruise suite with the Royal Loft Suites aboard Quantum and Oasis class vessels. Besides the luxury expected onboard a Royal Caribbean suite, you will open the door to a baby grand piano and unbeatable views.
Over the 1,744 square-feet you are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass windows ensuring every morning you wake up to extraordinary views. Royal has added amenities that’ll really make you feel like King of the World!
A Genie Butler will, of course, come with your room, ready to deal with any food and drink requests – not just for mid-day meals either, your Genie will happily make your wish come true and deliver a full dining experience right to your room. Couple the seemingly limitless service with your own personal Jacuzzi and Royal Caribbean’s famous incredible activities, and you’ve got yourself an unforgettable cruise.
Virgin Voyages – Rockstar Massive Suite
Virgin Voyages have unveiled 15 Rockstar Suites on-board the much anticipated Scarlet Lady, setting sail 2020. The Massive Suite lives up to its name spreading over 2,147 square-feet of the front of the ship. Overall this space there isn’t an inch left without thought or a splash of luxury.

The large sea terrace offers a living space outdoors, with a private jacuzzi and showers, hammocks, loungers, dining area, and an outdoor bar. Virgin Voyages have prided themselves on offering a cruise experience like no other; relaxed, informal and creative. The suite is not only Rockstar in name, it’s Rockstar is service too.

On-board you will have a dedicated hair and makeup team on call, unlimited complimentary mini-bar tailored to your specific tastes, complimentary access to all spa amenities and exclusive access to Richard’s Rooftop, a VIP private club for premium passengers.
Norwegian Cruise Line – The Haven
It’s rare when something sounds as romantic as a hidden enclave used exclusively for a private tryst, but The Haven by Norwegian just might be it.
At the top of the ship away from other guests you’ll find The Haven, an exclusive and lavish accommodation made by Norwegian Cruise Line, just for you. We’re expecting a personal butler at this point, a private sundeck and priority embarkation and disembarkation. Well the good news is that all of that is, of course, included.
But what is most impressive about The Haven is the fact that you can book a 3-bedroom Garden Villa. Up to eight guests can sleep here, meaning you can invite the whole family on a cruise with you – if you want them there, that is!
Your villa will also be fully decked out with champagne, custom selection of liquor, fruit, water, fizzy drinks and more. Plenty to keep the family entertained – or just yourself if you’re feeling indulgent!

Holland America – Pinnacle Suites
These suites come with a king size bed, oversized whirlpool bath & shower, living room, dining room, dressing room, sofa bed, microwave, fridge, guest toilet, private stereo, floor to ceiling windows and offers 1357ft of space.
The most impressive feature is outside though… as you can enjoy a whirlpool Jacuzzi on your very own balcony!
You will also have access to a private lounge where you can socialise and relax with other suite guests and enjoy free Wi-Fi, refreshments and make use of a 24 hour concierge service.
The ultimate suite of luxury? Well, we’d have to say it’s pretty close to it…
Oceania Cruises – Owner’s Suites
With 2,000 square feet of space at your fingertips, these suites are amongst some of the largest at sea and span the width of the ship looking over the wake. Your room will be furnished with Ralph Lauren Home and there will be his and her walk in wardrobes, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi’s and 24 hour butler service.
Guests staying in the suite will receive access to a private executive lounge stocked with soft drinks and snacks and your room will come with 6 full sized bottles of premium spirits. You’ll even get a Bulgari gift set and a complimentary Oceania tote bag and stationary.
Your butler will be able to deliver all meals to your suite if you wish, or arrange your excursions, supply even canapes and organise your laundry and garment pressing.
Sounds pretty luxurious to us…
Seabourn – Wintergarden Suite
You know those extravagant celebrity parties that happen in Hollywood? A new movie has just premiered, or a major product has been launched, and in the VIP room you’ll find everyone you can read about in the latest issue of Variety – well, this room looks like the room they would party in.
This room, when not populated with A-listers, is crisp, clean, and impeccable. No expense has been spared to make the Wintergarden suite absolutely burst with personality. You can easily imagine rock stars and world famous actors alike lounging and partying in this suite which is undeniably classy.
Not only does this cabin have all the luxury features you’d expect, but also an expansive deck, whirlpool bathtub and a glass-enclosed solarium, complete with a curtained daybed – for that extra layer of luxury and privacy.
Regent Seven Seas – The Regent Suite
And saving the best till last… there is only one Regent Suite aboard the Seven Seas Explorer, and that’s because true luxury and quality are very rare indeed!
So it’s big – 3,875 square feet, to be precise – bigger than many homes! But with this comes a private spa, including treatment area, sauna, heated relaxation loungers and multi-jet showers – wow! That’s almost as good as the unlimited – and complimentary – in-suite spa treatments. Can it get any better?
Well actually, it can! A private car and driver to guide you around every port, unlimited laundry services, 270 degree views over the bow – and that’s all without mentioning the expensive, exotic touches the room itself has received, thanks to marble and premium quality wood furnishings. Top that off with a custom Steinway Arabesque piano and you’ve got the ultimate suite – in fact, can we just live here? Please?
These suites are all the stuff dreams are made of!
Would you like to stay in any of these suites? Which is your favourite? Have you ever stayed in one of them before?
