One up on the rest

Greetings cruisers

Well it’s been a relatively quiet time these last 2 weeks, not surprising as many of you have spent a fortune on Christmas presents, and have nothing left to book a cruise for yourselves! Well let’s face it in a couple of days it will all be over and we can concentrate on being selfish again.

So time for a little hint to help you get over those awful long haul flights.

OK, we all know that to get to see the most amazing places in the world it normally includes a hefty flight, there is no way of getting around this, but do you want to make it as relaxing as possible?

Right here goes……………………………

Once your flight is booked make sure to get the flight locator number, this is infact the flight reference number, once you have that head to the airlines website and sign up to their membership club, don’t mess around, just do it, yes granted sometimes it feels like you are having to answer every question under the sun, don’t stress just do it, now once you have signed up, make sure to check your email account from about 2 weeks from departure, you may just find an email from the airline offering you a great deal to upgrade the flight, this is normally at a much reduced cost from what you may of paid when originally booking your cruise. Now sometimes they may offer you a free upgrade 🙂 it has happened to me with Qatar Airlines, the first email I received was a reduced upgrade from economy to Business, anyways I ignored the email and surprisingly a couple of days before departure, my flight was upgraded free of charge, get in !

Now I will admit when signing up to their membership club it felt like the application form was going on forever and I was half deciding whether to just give up, well I’m glad a carried on and completed it. Well worth the aggro, a nice free upgrade from economy to business worth just over £1500.

So guys crack on and sign up now, it might just be the best move you make.

Good Luck and a very merry christmas
