Wonderful Mexico

It was time for my annual week away with great friends.  Last year we went to New York, which was a little cold so this year we went to warmer climates.

We stayed at Riu Cancun in Mexico which was a perfect location to the bustling nightlife.

We boarded our flight in Manchester the day after and inch and a half of snow fell, so yes there was a two hour delay but that did not bother us. 10 hours later we had swapped the minus 2 degrees to a more relaxing 28 degrees.

The hotel was fantastic, all inclusive and in the morning you found your sun bed and every 10 mins a pool waiter offered drinks all day.  He tried to get us on Tequila at 9 in the morning but we declined. It was Americas Spring break when we were there, so we had fun watching the 20 somethings from the States enjoying pool parties and games around the pool area.  We had our own beach too which was nice and If you wanted waters ports then those were on our doorstep.

There was entertainment on at the hotel each night.  However we decided to hit the strip two nights and on the second night we went to the famous Coco Bongo’s.  It is difficult to describe but just think of a 4 hour show with music, acrobats, comedy and a non stop bar service, so you get the idea.  The night was excellent and something I will always remember.

We decided this was going to be a relaxing holiday and take it day by day so there were no culture trips just burning by the pool (well a few of us did)

A very enjoyable break away was had by everyone.  Here to next year!!
