Princess new dining

Dining is a big part of cruising and all cruise lines like to try and out do each other on new and innovative venues to make your cruise experience memorable.

Princess have recently announced some new dining experiences they are introducing on Caribbean Princess.  The ship is currently in dry dock in Bahamas until 6th April, the ship will head to the UK to sail the British Isles round trip from Southampton from May until September, visiting port such as Cork and Dublin in Ireland, Belfast and Edinburgh.

Some of the new dining venues

World Fresh Marketplace – With a new pancake station, hand crafted sandwiches and a Carvery

Planks BBQ and Steamers Seafood – There will be two casual evening specialty restaurants.  These are suited for families in an informal setting.  As this is specialty dining there is a $12 per person cover charge

Planks will serve ribs, beef, sausage and chicken, with fries and coleslaw, think of TGI’s on the Ocean. Steamers is pretty self explanatory, serving shellfish, seafood and for $10 more king crab and lobster

The Salty Dog – Serving the likes of Burger and pork belly and beer battered Jalapeno. The food here is complementary

Slice – A new pizzeria with a specialty deep dish focaccia bread base layered with marinara, meatballs and cheese.

There are many more food venues on board.  My tip is to look at the main restaurant menu on the morning before as there will be a choice of at least 6 starters, mains and desserts which do not have a cover charge.  If you didn’t like the menu then treat yourself to one of the specialty dining venues.

Remember there these is a gym on board if you over indulge !
