Mini cruises…love em’ or hate them?

I believe cruise lines have missed a trick! Mini cruises are generally the first time people decide too try a cruise holiday.  It is like a taster to see if this type of holiday is their thing.  The trouble is that if the client has a bad experience then that is a prospective client the cruise line has lost.

I have just had clients come back off  Ventura.  Now my clients are seasoned cruisers and not on there for a booze cruise, however they were on there to check out the ship to see if they  wanted to book a longer voyage on her later in the year.  I don’t think they were too impressed.  The lack of cleanliness in the cabin to start.  Their room was not vacuumed for the whole 4 days they were on there.  How do they know this I hear you ask? Because they dropped a bit of cake and the crumbs were still there at the end of the cruise!

My clients even bumped into a hen weekend on the ship, and even when the ladies were half cut with booze the hen weekend said they much preferred RCCL than Ventura because of the lack of choice in the buffet, and again Royal Caribbean seem to maintain their ships better and there is more space on Royal ships than P&O ships.

So calling ALL cruise lines…don’t think that people on a mini cruise are drunken booze cruisers, treat all clients well and keep your ships clean as they could be looking to book all of their holidays with you.
