Royal Caribbean what are you doing?

If you book with Royal Caribbean and you have had a drinks package included or on board credit then fantastic you have had a great deal.  Now if someone comes into a little bit of money and they think, ‘I would like to upgrade from my inside cabin to a balcony’ the clients would normally call me and I can call Royal Caribbean and let the client know what the difference is.

Now, If you want to upgrade, Royal Caribbean say that clients will lose whatever promotional offers i.e Drinks package on board credit and the new upgraded price will be based on today’s prices.

Royal Caribbean are losing valued clients left, right and centre because of this and surely RCCL are losing out on extra revenue by doing this. I have had numerous clients who wanted to upgrade only for me to tell them that they will lose their benefits.  Clients said they will ask once on board but I am not sure their inventory will allow this.

 

So if you read this Royal Caribbean sort out your pricing policy as yes, you do have fantastically innovative ships which tempt people to sail with you, but your customer loyalty and after sales stinks!
