I am back from Downunder

Well what a few months I have had.  As you probably know I have returned from helping set up our office in Port side Wharf in Brisbane.  The unit is a small travel agency shop which has a couple of sales guys working there however we have seven home workers now as the cruise business in Australia is booming.

The office is about fifty yards away from the river Brisbane where the cruise ships dock. For the time I was there we had P&O Australia ships Pacific Dawn and Pacific Aria (formally HAL Ryndam) dock in port side which was their home port, also Sea Princess and Royal Caribbean Legend of the Seas were home port in Brisbane.  There are two bridges on the Brisbane river the ships have to navigate under to get to Port side so only mid size ships can dock there.  There is another cruise terminal called Fisherman’s port in Brisbane where larger ships dock like Explorer and Voyager of the Seas.  the Australian season for good weather starts from December through to March and you can visit destinations like New Zealand, Fiji, Noumea and you can also cruise the Queensland Coast.

Brisbane International airport is only 25 min drive from Port side and Brisbane City is easily accessible on the river cat which stops at different points along the river and is a 30 min journey from port side.  The City is very cosmopolitan  and vibrant and there is alot to do.  The Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise is an hours journey South and there are trains which take you there from Brisbane City.  I will post more about work and adventures I had in the coming weeks.
