Azamara first class

Whilst I was in Valetta at the Travel Convention I was given the chance to visit the Azamara Quest.  This is the first time I have been on this ship.  I was interested to see what it was like and compare it to Celebrity, because Azamara are part of the Royal Caribbean & Celebrity brand.

Once on board we were provided with lunch.  Now, I don not normally have a fillet minion at 1.30 in the afternoon but WOW it was amazing. Now this was in  the Aqualina restraunte which normally serves fish dishes however there are two speciallity restraunte’s on board the other being Prime C with a cover charge of $5 per head.  Definately worth it though.

And what about this for dessert, a lovely tiramisu.

Anyway enough about the food (i’m getting hungry talking about it) and back to the ship.

The ship is very spacoius and at full capacity holds just under 700 passengers. 93% of staterooms offer ocean views with 70% offering a private balcony.  All theses staterooms come with butler service.

You recieve complimentary wine and bottled water at lunch and dinner too.

The pool area is a good size with a grill available incase you feel peckish.  Also double sun loungers for the more intimate sun bathing.

With the standard Casino, Elemis Spa and Art auctions at sea there is plenty to keep you occupied on sea days or a lazy spa experience in port.

  1. “English Butler ” service only for suites. Ordinary folk just get “one Stateroom Attendant & one Assistant Stateroom Attendant” says Azamara’s web site. Free house wine with meals but cruise prices hugely increased this year. Enjoyed greatly Transatlantic Azamara Journey December 2008.
    Sailbad the Sinner

  2. Speciality Restaurants. Azamara web site
Prime C “you will find tender cuts of prime beef and fresh seafood”
Aqualina “a grand fusion of Mediterranean flavours”.
“A cover of US $15 applies to all stateroom guests.”.
