5 Spa Treatment!

Anyone who knows me, knows I love being pampered!  It could be getting my nails done, or my hair but most of all it’s the body treatments I like the best!  For all you people who are like me, I thought I would give you my top 5 spas at sea.

1. Crystal Cruises

The Crystal spa consistently ranks among the world’s most renowned and destination  spas.  The spas are designed with the principles of Feng Shui. The salon has fantastic ocean views and offers a really lovely relaxing experience.  I am told the Aroma stone therapy is fab!

2. Hapag Lloyd – Europa 2

The spa area on the Europa 2 is beautiful.  One of the many features I loved was the ice fountain and the Finnish sauna area.  The piece de resistance is the personal spa. You can book this by the hour or even for the day.  It has it’s own sauna, whirlpool and massage beds and again, you always have a fantastic view of the sea.

3. Celebrity Cruises

The aqua spas are found on the newest Celebrity ships (Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette and Reflection).  Here apart from the fabulous body and facial treatments, you can experience a bit of botox, a lash and brow bar and even the men can go to the barber shop!  What I  like is the Persian Garden which is a cold sauna and steam room with a tropical rain shower!  Sit on one of the heated relaxation chairs and take in the views of the ocean. Bliss.

4. Cunard

Cunard’s Canyon Ranch spa club on the Queen Mary 2 is quite distinctive compared to other cruise ships and has a affiliation with the Canyon Ranch range of treatments.

Ashiatsu is the ultimate deep tissue massage where the therapist hangs from a bar on the ceiling and uses his/her feet – honest!!  This spa offers massages for sea sickness, aching bones, arthritis and chronic pain also.

5. Seabourn

Seabourn’s “The Spa” are on the Odyssey, Sojourn and Quest.  These luxurious spas are on 2 levels and are very large for such small ships.  They offer everything from a Kinesis wall to a Finnish sauna.  I loved the Spa Villas which feature a oversized bathtub, balcony, living area and day bed.
