WOW My Big 50 !

As you all know it was my Big 50 last Saturday, which was the 20^th January. I have to say I had the most fabulous day ever and talk about feeling spoilt is an understatement.

On the Friday, my colleagues from work had sent me a massive big bunch of beautiful flowers, my boss had also sent me a gorgeous vintage bag with “1968”, (which is the year I was born) and also a beautiful little book with “ Things I Can Do Now That Your “50”. It was a beautiful thought and I loved them, thank you all so much.

Then on the Saturday I drove to my sisters to pick her up for our lush spa day at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Manchester. We arrived about 11.30am all ready for our pamper day. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, we were greeted by the spa staff with a glass of bubbly in hand, then they took us to our changing rooms to get changed. As soon as we had changed in to out long robes and slippers, then the staff took us to the spa area which had a massive pool, steam/sauna and a beautiful big Jacuzzi.

We nipped in to the Jacuzzi for about 1/2hr then the staff came through to take us for our hot stone massage. Well  what can I say, it was so relaxing and invigorating we both nearly fell asleep, it was awesome.

Then after our stone massage, which lasted about an hour by the way, so you can imagine how relaxed we both were, it was time for our full facial. Well words cannot describe, I have never had a full facial done before, it was amazing, my face feels so smooth it was unreal. I will defiantly having a facial done every month from now on.

For the evening my sister had arranged with the family a night out at our favourite Turkish restaurant in Chorlton, Manchester. Our table was booked for 5pm and as usual food and company was absolutely spot on.

That evening went back to my sisters and she had surprised me with a beautiful birthday cake with the big “50” candles on, that she had cooked herself for me.

Wow what a way to spend my Big 50, loved every minute of it and talk about feeling spoilt, all the presents, cards, messages it has been overwhelming, I do feel so loved by all.

I just also wanted to say a massive Happy 40th Birthday to my bestie/colleague  Ella Chapman, her birthday is exactly the same day as mine. We are off celebrating our birthdays together at the end of April, when we are going on a cruise together and visiting the Norwegian Fjords. She is my little rock and love her to bits. Roll on April !
