Manchester Stands United….

I never thought I would ever see another tragic episode in my lifetime, not after that tragic day in 1996 when the IRA struck the Arndale centre in Manchester. Twenty one years later and Terrorism has struck again in my home town, something none of us could have foreseen.

The 22/05/2017 was one off the darkest nights here in Manchester, at least 22 people were killed and 120 injured after the explosion in the foyer of Manchester Arena. There was thousands of young families and children enjoying a gig to see American singer Ariana Grande when the explosion shook the arena.

Words just cannot describe how heartbroken I feel. My heart and thoughts go out to all those poor children and families that had to witnessed sheer carnage, those poor children/adults that have lost lives, their family and friends, words just cannot describe the heartbreak.

On Tuesday a huge vigil was held in Albert Square, Manchester, with thousands of people paying tribute to those caught up in Monday’s atrocity. Well-wishers have also been laying floral tributes, candles, teddy bears and messages of support across the city to remember those killed and injured.

I would also like to say a massive thank you to everyone in Manchester, the emergency services, police, public, taxi drivers, nurses etc.

This is a time where Manchester will stand tall, we stand United and light will shine.

MANCHESTER STAY STRONG, MY HEART GOES OUT TO MY BIRTHPLACE, MY HOME TOWN, AND ALL THE FAMILIES INVOLVED….
