Be Prepared To Be Wowed By MSC !

On the 03rd June 2017, MSC welcomed its new giant ship to their fleet, MSC Meravigila. With a star-studded christening ceremony in Le Havre, France. Italian film icon Sophia Loren served as godmother christened the ship.

Named as the ‘8th Wonder of the World- ( Meraviglia meaning ‘Wonder’ in Italian) will soon become the largest cruise ship afloat (in terms of passenger capacity). MSC Meraviglia is the fourth largest cruise vessel ever built, she has 2,760 cabins, holds 5,700 guests, 171,598 tons.

Some of the unique features that set MSC Cruises’ newest flagship apart include:

  • World-class entertainment from Cirque du Soleil with two exclusive Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows created just for MSC Meraviglia.
  • Widest range of dining options and bars with 12 dining venues and 20 bars.
  • Kids activities and services are at the very core of the guest offering and the dedicated family deck area includes a brand new entertainment offering excellent facilities for the whole family.
  • The longest LED Sky Screen at Sea at 262 feet long encompassing a stunning 315 foot long Mediterranean-style promenade, designed to become the social hub of the ship.
  • Comfortable and innovative accommodation with 10 different types of staterooms to choose from.
  • MSC Meraviglia is also its first ship to use wearable devices for activities such as cabin entry, making purchases, on-board organisation, digital way finding, giving parents the location of children on the ship.

MSC Meraviglia will be Mediterranean-based for 2017 and Northern Europe-based in 2018, calling in at Southampton twice.
