Royal announces an exciting multi million pound refit……

Royal Caribbean have announced the refit of Independence of the Seas. Happening in April 2018 , I believe it is a well needed makeover for Royals family favourite. Independence was the launched in 2008 and has not had a refurb since 2013.

I am a big fan of Royal Caribbean they were the first big ship I have tried and after my trip on Liberty of the Seas I have always found my experience hard to beat. There was just something about Royal that truly gave me the WOW factor.

With other cruise lines launching bigger and better , Royal Caribbean are surely the ones that will be more than happy to compete for that driving seat.

Independence of the Seas will feature new innovative ideas that are going to be decided from winning ideas from travel agent suggestions. More details of the makeover will be released over the next few months..

So far what we know is Independence of the Seas will receive several adrenaline-pumping features including a trampoline park, water slides, escape room and laser tag.

There is also the exciting talk about the amazing waterslides ,these will surely be done in pure Royal fashion and be something that shows families what cruise fun is really made of!

I have read a mixed bag of comments this week online , comments of it being a  well needed refit to the ships are becoming too hi-tech and not personal enough!

Whatever your views are the best thing about cruises is that there is something for every taste and they can be as hi tech or traditional as you want.

2018 looks an exciting year for the cruise industry and am intrigued to see what is on offer.
