It has been a big week for Celebrity X with 3 massive announcements!

Earlier this week Celebrity launched its brand new summer 2018 itineraries with a surprise announcement that Celebrity Eclipse will not be based in Southampton for the first time in eight years – it will be replaced with its Solstice Class sister ship Silhouette for 7 and 8 night Norwegian Fjord sailings, 14-night Scandinavia and Russia sailings and 14-night Mediterranean, Canaries and Azores, and Iceland and Ireland sailings all from Southampton.

Reflection will continue its Fly Med cruises to the Eastern and Western Med and Constellation will offer enhanced Mediterranean itineraries with 3 seven-night sailings to Greece, Italy, France and Spain plus 12 night sailings throughout the Med, Greek Islands, Holy Land, Western Med and Adriatic ports

Also this week Celebrity announced a cruise industry first that they will be the first major cruise line in 2018  to have a ship based in Dublin.

Celebrity Eclipse is set for a mini season sailing from Dublin for 10 and 12 nights including cruises to the Norwegian Fjords, Iceland and Ireland and the British Isles and the French Open – a must do cruise for any Golf Widows!!

Not only is this exciting new move set to bring €6 million to Dublin in tourism and lots of profitable economic benefits for the surrounding area it will bring new opportunities to Irish passengers to cruise directly from Dublin

And if this wasn’t enough news for Celebrity, as the first piece of steel was cut for Celebrity Edge, Celebrity’s first new ship class since 2008

‘The Modern Luxury’ cruise line also announced the name of Edge’s sister ship, “Celebrity Beyond,”  promising many daring design advances and innovations in keeping with the modern luxury, cool contemporary design and warm spaces, dining experiences where the design of the venues is as important as the cuisine and the amazing service that only Celebrity can provide
