Return of the Cruise

This week on ITV will see the return of the fly on the wall documnetary of Princess Cruises’s programme – The Cruise and the first episode is due to be aired on Thursday 11th January at 8.30pm.  This series is back on the Royal Princess (which was featured in the first series) and will show the crew and guests saiing around the Mediterreanean.

Later on in the year there are two more series planned to be shown and will be one of Alaska and one of the Caribbean. No dates have been released for these yet but I am hoping the Alaska one will be aired before May (as I am going there in June on my honeymoon).

I have been lucky to have sailed on the Royal Princess and have the opportunity again in May this year.  She was built in 2013, holds 3600 passengers and nearly 1400 crew. The Royal Princess has the usual Movies under the Stars, beautiful Piazza, International Cafe, The Sanctuary which is the Adults only area, the Lotus Spa, the Crown Grill, Sabatinis, and you will also find the glass floored Sea walk. There is also the Princess WaterColor Fantasy light and water show in the evenings (which are like dancing fountains to Music)

Will you be tuning into watch the new series? Do you think this show gives a good indication of life on board as crew and as a passenger? I was chatting the other evening to a couple who were looking to book another cruise and during the conversation when asked if they had cruised with Princess before they told me they had actually appeared on the first series of the Cruise and had the cameras follow them around a little as they were the honeymoon couple, but they had only got approached whilst on board.
