The White Cliffs Revival

If your sailing from Dover you will soon have the lovely benefit of being able to walk from your ship directly to a brand new Waterfront and Marina by end of 2018. Its the single biggest investment ever undertaken in the port of Dover and will be fab.

The £120 million is already under way and its the biggest investment in the port. There will be pedestrian and cycle routes linked to the cruise terminals, so visitors will also be able to explore the area and enjoy the facilities. The whole town is getting a face lift, the eyesore office block Burlington House has been demolished and a 108 room Travelodge , a six-screen Cineworld, Frankie and Benny’s , Bella Italia, Nandos, Next and M&S are all planned for the town bringing it to life.

Dover Cruise Port is the second busiest in the UK and its century old cruise terminal 1, formerly the Old – Marine Railway Station is an architectural masterpeice- it has served two world wars so now combining history with a smart modern day departure lounge.

Dover is also the gateway to London connected by the high-speed train, which takes 66 minutes to St Pancras.
