P&O Doesn’t Have The Monopoly

Southampton is the undisputed king of ex-UK for sailing, but the south of England has many other options, including Portsmouth, Dover, Tilbury in London. So its not all about P&O etc from Southampton, here I have looked at 3 different options based on the length of the cruise, take a look they are all 2018 and such a wide range with loads more on offer…

Less Than a Week…

Sailing is on the Braemar from Southampton on their smallest ship, and really nice they are now taking River Cruises as well as Ocean Cruises.  It includes two nights in Rouen giving you a good chance to see the historic 14th Century Gros-Horloge where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake.

This is on ultra luxury 6* definition of upmarket, Crystal Serenity is the shop – but the best part of this trip is the number of overnights in ports two in Le Vernon & Bordeaux, One is Lisbon, One in Barcelona, and then one in Monte Carlo how fantastic this is to stay on board and also take advantage of these wonderful resorts, as well as enjoying the really good tours arranged by the cruise line for you.

This is a fantastic four week cruise with Cruise & Maritime on their ship Marco Polo,  the voyage includes Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Madeleine & Montrael with an overnight stay in Quebec on the St Lawrence River. This is a September cruise and Canada in autumn, as the leaves begin to change colour will be a stunning place to be.  After Nova Scotia the cruise heads all the way back to London Tilbury via a call in at Cork Ireland.
