Goodbye 2017…. Hello 2018

First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

What a year 2017 has been for cruising with some massive announcements.

  1. NCL Now Fully All Inclusive (although they have now brought out fares which are not) – Strange one
  2. P&O Announce they are to tell the much loved Adonia, which they just recently brought back to the fleet, again Strange one.
  3. P&O tighten the rules, Each passenger aged 18 or older is now allowed to bring only one bottle of wine, Champagne, beer, spirits or liqueur up to 1 litre during initial embarkation.
  4. Monarch gone into administration, this affected a lot of cruise customers !!!

So lets put that all in the past and look at what 2018 has to offer ?

Lots of new ships and they are just getting bigger and better

Symphony of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) -4,140 passengers in double occupancy & will sail year-round from Miami.
Maiden voyage: March 31th

Carnival Horizon (Carnival Cruise Line) – 4000 passengers
Maiden voyage: April 2nd

Norwegian Bliss (Norwegian Cruise Line) – 4200 passengers, Bliss will spend summer 2018 sailing week long itineraries in Alaska from Seattle
Maiden voyage: April 23rd

Seabourn Ovation (Seabourn Cruise Line) – 604 passengers, Ovation will be doing various itinerary’s around the Mediterranean and Europe
Maiden voyage: May 5th

MSC Seaview (MSC Cruises) – 4140 passengers, MSC Seaview will homeport in Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona, offering Western Mediterranean cruises.
Maiden voyage: June 10th

Viking Orion (Viking Ocean Cruises) – 930 passengers
Maiden voyage: June 19th

Celebrity Edge (Celebrity Cruises) – 2900 passengers, Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale
Maiden voyage: Dec. 16th

 

Nieuw Statendam (Holland America Line) – 2650 passengers, Nieuw Statendam will sail a variety of Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale for the 2018-19 season.
Maiden voyage: Nov

If you want to see any of these amazing ships then please book NOW, these have been on sale for month and are probably already pretty much sold out !!! 2019 will also see many new ships comings to the Seas but we will save that for another day.
