Another face lift for the Royals

With the Independence Of The Seas due to go into dry dock for refurbishment in April and the Brand new ship launch of the Symphony Of the Seas, Royal Caribbean have now announced they will also be adding some of the same new features to the Mariner Of The Seas which was launched back in 2003 and will be sailing from Miami on four-night Bahamian weekend getaways. This cruise is ideal for anyone visiting Florida and with the new features being added the ship will be sure to attract more families with kids of all ages.

The ship is planned to be renovated by June 2018 & what will the $90 million refurbishment will include ??

The Mariner currently features an ice-skating rink, 40-foot rock-climbing wall, nine-hole mini-golf course, trio of swimming pools, full-sized basketball court and poolside movie screen.

How does a Sky Pad virtual reality, bungee trampoline attraction sound ?? you will be strapped into a harness and wear a virtual reality headset and you will travel to a different time and planet.

Studio B will now offer  “Battle for Planet Z”—a glow-in-the-dark laser tag experience and why not test your brain in the New escape room challenge which involves solving puzzles and clues to break free within 60 minutes or less.

A first ever for Royal the Mariner will feature The Bamboo Room will be an Polynesian-themed venue. The bar and lounge will display a retro “tiki-chic” aesthetic and serve up cocktails to match.

Royal also plan to add its signature flow rider & duel high speed watersides.

As part of the ship’s refurbishment, Royal Caribbean will be adding new staterooms, as well as updating all the existing staterooms on the ship. They will be adding a Starbucks for the coffee lovers ,Jamie’s Italian & Izumi Hibachi & Sushi specialty restaurant for the food lovers.
