No Midnight feast on Symphony Of The Seas

I just literally got off the the phone to a customer that got back from The Symphony Of The Seas maiden voyage out of Barcelona. I assumed she would love it as she is a huge Royal Caribbean fan and has been on some of the finest ships in the World.

She loved The Anthem’s dining experiences and the fact that you can enjoy all different types of cuisine in specialty dining experiences form Asian to Cuban. she said the choice was incredible.

The Symphony carried high praise indeed from her and she loved how open modern and bright it felt. there were however a few areas that let her down in direct comparison to the Anthem of The Seas.

The biggest issue was there was no indoor pool. This is one of the things I assumed all cruises had but Symphony is not afraid to be bold and different there is a lot to cram in and the solarium is an area they felt they could compromise on.

those of you that enjoyed chefs cooking up a feast in the Windjammer cafe better get your skates on as they close at 21:30pm as a late dinner option. They used to stay open until Midnight and I know the likes of MSC are changing the industry with 20 hours of opening hours in their buffet restaurant.

Royal Caribbean have allowed Sorrentos Pizzeria to remain open into the small hours and all late night snacking can be done at the Park Cafe.

In all honesty I find it acceptable as generally people can eat too much on ships and there is still plenty of choice at the other restaurants.

I assume its not practical to have over 5,000 eating late into the night and I well imagine lots of cruise lines will review policies in the future.

Would this put you off or are all of the good things being said about the Symphony enough to make you want to investigate for yourself?
