Cruise Reviews Are they worth their weight in Gold

Cruise.co.uk have one of the largest cruise reviews sites in the Uk but do you use it? There are many advantages and sometimes disadvantages to reading a cruise review. How far do you actually read into the reviews and would they stop you or encourage you to cruise yourself.

Imagine searching through many many options and finally after weeks of searching decide on a particular cruise ship only for then to look at the latest reviews which may not be as complimentary as you think, would it put you off booking?

Also if you are deciding on a cruise but have many options would you look at our review site and would it encourage you to choose a particular cruise ship rather than go off your own instinct.

I think we have all fallen in to the above category at one time.

I will be totally honest with you, last August I took my two children on a holiday to Ibiza and I looked up all the hotels I was interested in on Tryp Advisor and the one with the best reviews was the one I booked. A little less things to look out for in a hotel than looking for the perfect cruise ship but nethertheless once I booked the  Hotel I continued to monitor Tryp Advisor every day to see if any further positive reviews had been written.

When it comes to cruiselines though they do take stock of any reviews that may be negative in one way or another eventually might I add so it is always worth writing one.

On the whole though I guess as an avid cruiser myself , in the cruise industry itself there are many cruiseships to compare by. Everyone of us has different expectations on what makes a fantastic trip as after all we are spending alot of money on this type of holiday.

I would say bare this in mind when reading any reviews that we are all looking for different things and one negative comment may not be a negative comment for you.

Overall though I guess as a nation we like to read other people thoughts , is there a kind of inquisitive element to this then I guess so, but on the whole the reviews for me are a great asset as many many reviews are wonderful with many heartwarming and positive stories to read.
