Summer is Here

Where has 2017 gone so far?
I can’t believe its the middle of June already and we are finally having some nice UK weather.
Universities are now over for the year and the kids are home with all there worldly goods ….peace is shattered even the dog is looking shocked!
After the last few weeks of awful things happening here its nice to be able to look forward and we have some nice plans for the summer .

We’ve bought a caravan and she has been named Bertha, we’ve already had a few outings in her to Keswick in The Lake District and hoping to fit in some more this year.
New Year is already booked on a lovely site in Hawkshead , we went here last year in a Bed & Breakfast and had such a lovely time we have decided to take Bertha out on a trip this year to see the New Year in with fireworks in the little square.
Its great to just pack up and go, the two of us with the dog .
As rookies we seem to have done well so far with no disasters.
My next little jaunt away is back to the lakes to see Tom Jones at Cartmel Races on the 29th June so we are having a few days away and will have a little flutter on the horses before crooning some great favorites of his hits . The last time we were in Cartmel was just after our wedding last year so it will be nice to re visit.

I’m now on countdown to my cruise on board Jewel of the Seas , we are introducing our friends to the wonderful world of cruising as they have never cruised before and always take nice beach hotel holidays , its great to see there excitement on the build up to our cruise and hopefully will become cruising converts .
