MSC Meraviglia has had her flagship ceremony on 31st May and she now joins the fleet and sails the Mediterranean this summer from Genoa Naples and Marseille as embarkation ports .

Here’s some facts to get you excited for MSC Meraviglia
Interior
1- All decks of the ship are named after the wonders of the world (as Meraviglia means ‘a wonder’ in Italian).
2- The ship will be the 5th ship in MSC Cruises fleet to feature a Swarovski staircase
3- Just the interior of the ship took over one year to complete
4- There will be 12 Cirque du Soleil at Sea performances each week
5 – The 96 metre Mediterranean-style promenade will host three major parades each week
6- The Broadway Theatre is bigger than two and a half basketball courts and will seat 985 guests
7- There will be a fully equipped 570 square metres gym onboard with cutting-edge Technogym equipment
8- The thermal area in the MSC Aurea Spa has 13 different areas, including the salt relax room, ice waterfall, sauna and dark sensory steam bath
9- The ship has more than 1,300 sun loungers free of charge, and the main pool has 22 sunbeds that ‘touch the water’, meaning guests can cool their feet in the pool
10- The ship will feature the first chocolate atelier and creperie at sea by award-winning pastry chef, Jean Philippe Maury
11- A new flexible dining model will give guests more choice on where and when they dine (and can choose from eateries like an American steakhouse and a traditional English pub)
12-75% of all cabins onboard have balconies (2,244 cabins in total)
13-Family cluster cabins can be joined together to accommodate up to 10 guests
14-55 cabins have been specially designed for guests with reduced mobility
15-Guests of the MSC Yacht Club have direct access to a private 500 square metre solarium and pool on the 19th deck of the ship and an exclusive 130-seat private restaurant
16-The ship will be spending its inaugural season in the Mediterranean
