Lou and Dave are, quite simply, living the (Thomson) Dream…….

Lou and Dave, friends of mine, have been wanting to try cruising for a while now and are currently on board their maiden voyage, on the Thomson Dream, cruising the Aegean and what a fabulous time they are having. Just this morning I had a message from Lou saying they are totally hooked and don’t want to come home.

I have been booking cruises for people for many years now and always do my best to ensure that all my clients have the best possible cruise experience but when I book a cruise for someone I know I always feel some extra responsibility to make sure that things are ‘just right’ for them, especially if it’s their first time.

I know Lou was nervous before they went, would she be sea sick, had she packed the right clothes for cruising, had they chosen the right cabin etc, not to mention forgetting which flight they were on and texting me at 6.15am the morning they were travelling 🙂

I take it from the photos she is pasting on Facebook that all those nerves soon disappeared once they were on board as they seem to be having the time of their lives. I think the fact that they opted to pay for the all-inclusive drinks package has helped!

They love the fact that they wake up somewhere different each morning, somewhere new to explore. Santorini seems to have been a highlight, somewhere Lou has wanted to visit for years – and no, they didn’t ride up the hill on the donkeys. Far too cruel.

Sailaway is another favourite time for them, sailing off into the sunset with a glass of Prosecco, what could be more perfect. I agree as this is one of my favourite times of day on a cruise too.

I’m so glad that Lou and Dave’s first cruise has been a roaring success and I have a sneaky feeling that this cruise is going to be the first of many for them. I just can’t wait to hear all about it when they get home.
