It’s that Strictly time of year! Are you a fan?

Oh happy days! So, by 6.50pm tonight dinner will be ready, the gin will be on ice, the log burner will be lit and I shall be tuning into BBC for what has to be my favourite TV show Strictly Come Dancing, only just pipping Yorkshire Vet to the top spot though! I just love everything about Strictly, the sparkly costumes, the music, the camaraderie, just everything, although I am still not convinced by Shirley as head judge, she really isn’t Len Goodman is she, and I do think that she has been slightly biased when giving her votes for Simon Rimmer, fluttering her eyelashes at him too. How so ever, it all adds to the overall enjoyment of the show I suppose.

For a few years now P&O having been offering Strictly themed cruises, with Craig Revell-Horwood and some of the pro-dancers on board, performing and offering guests the chance to have dance classes and compete. Further to the success of these cruises the programme has been extended, four cruises in 2018 will be Strictly themed, and guests will now have the opportunity to book one-to-one sessions with the professionals and book to dine with them in one of the speciality dining venues on board. A one-to-one session with Aljaz Skorjanec, oh be still my beating heart!!

For fans of the series this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the Strictly experience in an up close and personal way. My parents were on Britannia a couple of years ago during a Strictly cruise and they thoroughly enjoyed the shows although they said Craig didn’t hold back when he was judging the guests taking part, he was his usual abrasive self – seems a little harsh really when it’s all just supposed to be a bit of fun on your holiday doesn’t it.
