Happy National Burger Day!

Happy National Burger Day!

I kid you not – there is now a National Burger Day, and the cruise lines have wasted no time in  helping us to celebrate.

Apparently, the folks  at Holland America had the ” privilege” of tasting 127 of the finest burgers available in North America, they have then made their own secret recipe sauce so you can really enjoy the taste- how cool is that?

I have to say that Holland America have an amazing variety of burgers available anyway on board and let’s not get started on the hot dogs – why has nobody thought of a national hot dog day? That will probably be next years cause for celebration

Are you partial to the grill on your cruise?

I have to say that I thought the burgers available at Johnny Rockets on board the Royal Caribbean ships were amazing until I tried the offerings available on Oceania. Wow – they are gorgeous, freshly made and cooked to perfection.

But if burgers aren’t your thing – what is?

There are so many cuisines available on board cruise ships these days, there has to be something for everyone.

If Asian Fusion is your thing ( whatever that is ), look no further than Sindhu on P & O Cruises, this is from master of spices Atul Kochhar. The food is amazing. What about the steaks available in Prime on board Azamara Cruises and if you are looking for somewhere totally different what about Wonderland on Royal Caribbean, very unusual and unique.

And when discussing dining options on board with someone new to cruising, I always try to make sure that I explain the different options available. It can be so confusing these days – Freedom, club, anytime, personal choice – it’s no wonder that it can feel daunting.

But, whatever your tastes and budget you can be sure that there is a cruise line out there that matches the majority of your requirements. If you are unsure of what to expect – just ask, that’s what we are here for.
