Try It, You Might Like It

Last week I attended a presentation that we here at cruise.co.uk organised with Azamara cruises.

You may remember that earlier this year when Azamara Quest was in Liverpool I had the opportunity to look around her and I was interested to know from any of the attendees if they had been with Azamara before and what they thought of the cruise line etc. It was great to hear that the past passengers were full of praise for the ships, itineraries and service.

I am not sure if you know this, but both ships have been refurbished this year? and it was only when I saw the pictures of the ship before the refurbishment I appreciated the changes.

The staterooms are contemporary but classic, pale colours , although I did have to check on the state of the light coloured  carpets – apparently each ship has vast amounts of the carpet stored onboard and they are already using it! I suppose when they run out of stock it will be time to be refurbished again.

Another thing that really helps deliver the experience is the Destination Immersion – you get longer in port, more overnights in port than other cruise lines. I mean how many of us have visited a port of call for the first time and had to leave at 5.00 pm – wouldn’t it be nice to dine on board and then go off exploring after dark?

There is so much included with Azamara – Drinks, not forgetting the bottled water that many cruise lines charge for, self service laundry – possibly the busiest place on board! and those annoying gratuities.

When the topic of service came up, I could see the past passengers in the room, nodding in agreement at the levels of service experienced – I mean on how many ships do the restaurant staff remember your name when returning for your second cruise – not many!

I appreciate that this type of cruise isn’t for everyone. But if you want something that little bit special, some different ports of call and a small ship experience, then why not look at a cruise with Azamara.azam 1
