You Choose Where I Go!

OK so this week I’m basically after some inspiration for my own holiday, and I thought I’d put it out there for my readers to give me some pointers and choose my destination for me.

As you may or may not know, my wife and I are expecting a baby in August, and since she has a fairly large amount of time off with him, we are thinking about going away when he is about 6 months old, so around February / March time 2018.

We want about a week, and ideally would like some warmth, but with baby, we don’t want to be flying for hours, so the shorter the better really.

Naturally if we fly, I’m thinking East Med, Greece or Cyprus, although at 4 hours flight, this is just a shade too much I feel. So then I’m thinking Canaries, a little shorter, and generally fairly warm at that time of year? So advice on a nice quiet place but with a decent degree of luxury would be welcome for these places.

My wife fancies the south of France, as do i, but I’m just a bit concerned about the weather in the winter, I hear it’s an expensive place to stay and I don’t want to be spending a fortune to be sat in the rain for a week. Anyone been or know the weather that time of year? We get snow in the UK in February these days so I don’t want to see more of it!!

Fourth option of course is a cruise, perhaps a fly cruise, or sail from Southampton down to the Canaries, which will be longer than a week of course, but the wife isnt convinced a cruise will be the right type of holiday for a 6 month year old baby. Selling cruises I can’t see a problem but in reality I’m not sure!

This is our first child so I’m totally new to this ‘family holiday’ thing!

So parents, families, and holiday makers – help me please!!

I can’t wait for your feedback on this one, so thanks for reading as always, the floor is yours……
