2016: The Year Of Death? – 2017: Get Your Life On Track!

I love this time of year, food, booze, family, friends and a good bit of R&R. But this week all I am reading about is dead celebrities!

Yes the first post I read on Christmas Eve, was about the sad passing of one of the music industry greats, Rick Parfitt, of the world famous band, Status Quo. At 31 years old you might think I’m a bit young to appreciate The Quo, but you must remember that everyone my age that was driven around by their dad in the 90s will be the same. All dads loved The Quo, and had probably had the double sided cassette containing the album, Rockin All Over The World.

So for me they were a large part of my musical childhood, so a big loss for the industry.

The Very Next Day (cough, sorry, too soon?) I hear about the untimely death of another music legend, George Michael, who is partly responsible for the sound of Christmas, with his huge hit, Last Christmas – a song that is never off the music channels or radio in December. Awful news that again has shaken the industry.

These two have come just after we were all coming to terms with the death of David Bowie, another world changer in his day, one of the most famous names to ever walk the earth. More awful news.

There have been many, many more too, I’m sure the older generation of celebrity is now cowering inside making sure they have enough food and drink to last until 2017 without having to leave their homes. Just this morning I saw the hashtag #hidedavidattenborough !

I think this year for the famous emphasizes that our time on this planet is short, so we need to make the most of it. This will be my underlying message to all I come into contact with for 2017 – Life: Make The Most Of It

Clearly nobody is safe from the Grim Reapers scythe at the moment, so get yourself out there and enjoy your time on this green earth. We are fortunate to live in an experience rich society in this country, and we have it so much better than many other countries.

A cruise holiday will be exactly what you need, luxury and experience being the two experiences here. You don’t have to be a millionaire to take a cruise anymore! I have customers now that take a cruise instead of that week in Tenerife – a good choice, trust me!

My Bucket List seems to get longer and longer the more time I spend in this job, but I’d like you to all join me in making a start on your life! I myself ticked The Maldives off my list this year on my honeymoon, and WOW what a place, it’s given me the incentive to see much much more!

Remember you can’t take that money with you when you pop off this mortal coil, so dust of your bank card and give me a call. A man in my position doesn’t just sell cruises, he creates dreams! #cheesy

Anyway, despite the undertone of this blog, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and are looking forward to New Year!

Thanks for reading and as always, until next time…………..
