Qsine – The best cuisine at Sea…

Hello everyone,

Today I just want to return back to the memories from my recent Celebrity Eclipse cruise and as promised here is a full blog all about my new favourite restaurant at sea…. Qsine.

Qsine is featured on board the Eclipse, Reflection, Silhouette, Infinty, Millennium & Summit ships and has a cover charge of $ 45 per person (approx £35)

The unique experience of a visit to Qsine starts when your individual server hands you the menu… an iPad !! The menu is divided into different countries and takes you on a round the world culinary journey with many unusual twists.  Being a large group we were split over 2 tables – I was on a table of 8, and the whole menu is served tapas style (sharing) – although the server did check with us all as to individual likes and dislikes and adjusted portion sizes accordingly – apparently.  Our eyes were certainly larger than our bellies and we ended up selected about 16 of the 22 dishes – basically just leaving out salads/vegetables and soup..

The amazing iPad menu – lets you see videos of the dish before ” Add to Favourites” to create your own menu.. you can even mix your own cocktail creations too !!

The “courses” were split down and our first table full consisted of:

Starters:

Sushi Lollipops, Both types of Spring Roll, Tresviche & my favourite the Disco Shrimp – Poached Tiger Shrimp with avocado, tomato & celery and a lovely cocktail garlic sauce.

Main Courses: (Served over 2 tables full…)

Chitinis, Slider Party, Taco Royale, M’s Favourite – all 3 varieties, Popcorn Fish n Chips, Crunchy Munchies & my favourite main Painters Mignon – the most beautiful ever Filet Mignon with delightful accompaniments.  Also bear in mind that the M’s favourites were the selection box assortment dishes, so much more than it sounds here.

Although really we were all full, Dessert was deemed as not to be missed – and the menu itself another great novelty cube design.. and yes we had them all and a special surprise dessert too..

Dessert:

Chocolate Tombstone ,The Cupcake Affair, Silver Bullet, Cheesecake Tini & my favourite Beignets – Doughnuts with various dipping sauces….mmmmm.

My mouth is watering all over again as I am typing this, it truly is a whole new experience for your palette.. and one I hope to experience again when I next sail with Celebrity Cruises.

What is your Favourite Cruise line Speciality Restaurant ?

Did you know that our own website also has extensive details of speciality restaurants and sample menus.?

Here is the full Qsine Menu – although not quite the same as a pdf as the iPad..
