    Laundrette on P&O/Ventura

I have used these in the past on other ships, but just wanted to know the exact coins I need for the washing machine/tumble dryer

What detergent can I bring, i.e powder, liquid etc

With 2 young children I will more than likely need to use them!

You dont need any coins as they are free to use. However you have to provide the detergent which you can either take with you, buy from the ships shop or buy when you are ashore.

the laundry is a bit of a strange old place. The problem is that the washing cycle takes half an hour, but the drier takes over an hour so you end up with a back log of people waiting for driers. I went a few times at 8am when it first opened but machines were often in use then - however, one passenger told me they actually unlocked the laundry at about 7.30am.

Another passenger also told me that she put the washing on just before she went into dinner, and the ran up to put it in the drier after her main course because it was the only time of day the laundry was quiet!

I went in before 8am, by accident really. Good time to get a machine, and then as long as you get the washing out on time you are obviously first in line for the driers.

I can still remember our morning sat in the laundry waiting for driers. The laundry is definitely a place to meet some interesting people :D
