Florida Part 1

We have just returned from a fantastic family trip to Florida for 10 nights and 7 nights Cruise round the Caribbean with NCL,

We stayed at the Floridays on International drive we booked a 3-bedroom condo which was fantastic size wise for us fully equipped kitchen and dining room and washer and dryer, we didn’t hire a car as I was a little nervous about driving on the other side of the road, but the location was great we didn’t need a car we have supermarket and restaurants within 5-10 mins walk and the Floridays provided free transfers to parks, so we used these and just opted for taxi back

Both the boys decided they wanted to visit the following Parks

Universal Studios

Island of Adventure

SeaWorld

Animal Kingdom

Plus, Aquatica and Volcano Bay Waterparks

Loved all the parks but all of you favourites where SeaWorld by far loved the place animals and the Rides where great, we debated whether we should get fast passes for all the parks but decided we would wait and see what they were like, I am so glad we didn’t pay the extra as the parks where really quiet, the longest we had to wait was for 40 mins for King Kong in Islands Of Adventure other we walked straight on or wait time 5 mins, it was just perfect as some of you might know my Jack he has no patience and hates waiting!

You may notice lots of photos of my youngest son Jack but Harry the older one does not like his photo taken and will not let me!

One of the high lights of Florida for me was Discovery Cove I booked this as a surprise for my Mums birthday to swim with the dolphins and was just magical, we arrived around 10am and had breakfast all food and drinks and snacks is included whilst at the park including wine so that made a very happy Erica, after breakfast we went and sat on the beach area they have and boys put on their wetsuits and snorkel gear and went swimming with sting rays and every type of fish you could think of, I sat and watched them with a glass of wine as not very good swimming with fish ! both the boys  said wished they could go every day to Discovery Cove, we had a swim time of 1.30 for 30 minutes it was amazing experience and all of us didn’t want to come out our dolphin was called akie and was the oldest dolphin they have aged 40, we got to swim with him fed him and play in the water, after the swim went for late lunch and then to relax on the lazy river enjoying the beautiful park, was a day to remember, we payed around 270 pp for the day which when it includes everything food drink, all the equipment it worked out at good value I thought
