Our short break on Celebrity Eclipse

Wow, what a beautiful ship! This was my first time sailing with celebrity cruises and unfortunately it was only 2 nights, 14 night would have been much better of course!

In easy terms , I loved the Eclipse! She is a truly beautiful ship !

We stayed in a concierge balcony cabin on deck 10, which was a great size, plenty of storage, large balcony, and the bottle of sparkling wine you receive is always a plus too!

We upgraded to the classic drinks package just to give us a little more choice on drinks and wine choice. We found the drinks package perfect and there was more than enough choice on our favorite drinks, cocktails, spirits and wine.

We chose early dining, and were allocated 5.45! This was way to early, we presumed it would be 6.30 but aside form the time the food was fantastic, and sizes I found pretty large compared to other cruise liners too. The wine waiters just kept topping our glasses up and our waiter was wonderful a real credit to celebrity cruises.

We were extremely lucky with the weather, it had forecast rain but in our port of call, Le Harve the sun was shining and everyone was out on deck soaking up the sun! This gave us chance to appreciate the out door spaces too, we relaxed on sunloungers for a while, and even headed up to the Lawn Club to check out the real grass onboard!

Evening entertainment was plentiful, weather you wanted to catch  show in the theater, have a drink at one of the various bars or head to my personal favorite the silent disco, lots of fun!

We even managed to squeezer in a trip to the late night buffet, which consisted of pizza and pasta on the evening we turned up!

The only grumble we had was we enjoy a sit down lunch in the main restaurant, but this wasnt opening at lunch time on the day we were in Le Harve, the only options were the outdoor grill for a burger or the buffet restaurant, which we were a little dissapointed about as we like to sit down and relax with a glass of wine over lunch but hey ho!

Was you onboard the same sailing? What are your views?
