Off to Majorca…

As you read this I will ( Hopefully! ) be relaxing on a sun lounger in Majorca! Hopefully because I do have my little 2 year old in tow and getting to ‘relax’ on a  sun lounger is very rare!

Every year I take a holiday with my parents and brother and this year we are re visiting a favorite of ours Alcudia, for 10 nights all inclusive, its the typical package holiday through a  well named tour operator flights transfers baggage all in, nice and easy!

Alcudia is a fantastic family friendly resort with beautiful beaches and plenty of shops bars restaurants, an old town area and a waterpark too so plenty to keep all the family entertained. Many of the cruise liners dock in the Majorcan capital , Palma which is aroudn an hour and a half away form Alcudia situated in the north of the Island. But if your adventurous or even have an overnight stay in port on your cruise it could definitely be worth a trip to the North of the island rather than staying local around Palma as so many cruise passengers do. Next door to Alcudia is another great family friendly resort Puerto Pollensa, a little smaller in size and a little more traditional I would say.

So next time you dock into Palma why not stray a little further afield and explore the island, hire a car and see some of the beautiful resorts on offer.

I am very much looking forward to this break, although i have to say i am not the biggest fan of the all inclusive Europe style holidays i love to eat out and find local restaurants and especially tapas but for a family holiday all inclusive fits the bill easily.
