Christmas in Cuba pt2!

I am now back after another fantastic 2 weeks in Cuba! And as promised in my last post heres an update about our 3rd trip to this beautiful country.

firstly, if you haven’t been to Cuba then add it to your list , it really is such a  beautiful and more importantly friendly country, the locals are just so welcoming and lovely they really do make your holiday. Whether you decide to go on a  land based holiday nor cruise you wont be disappointed!

We stayed at our favorite hotel Playa Pesquero, located on Pesquero beach in the Holguin district. Because we have our little boy Alfie with us who was still 2 then it does limit us on excursions and going out and about as many of the hot spots such as Havana and Santiago De Cuba are a long distance away and not suitable to take a small child but if you were just a couple of have older children its a must to visit either of these huge popular cities.

Instead we took a horse and cart from the hotel to a local village one morning, we used a local taxi driver who had a fantastic old american car for our airport journey rather than the coach and we also took Alfie for his first dolphin swim which included a sealion show and dolphin show too.

We had a little bad weather at the start of our holiday but after  few days the sun came out and out holiday could really start, unfortunately noone has control over the weather !

We even had a visit from Santa around the pool on Christmas eve too!

All in all we had a brilliant trip to Cuba, got to catch up with friends we had met in previous years both other guests and staff and im sure we will be returning again in the next year too as it really is fantastic value for money!
