Harry Potter Themed River Cruise

It has been announced that in the Summer of 2018 along our very own Thames there will be a Harry Potter themed river cruise. How amazing is this for all Harry Potter fans? I have only stumbled across this looking on Cruise critic, so I have either been living under a rock or the word needs to get out there!

The passengers will sail along the ‘magical’ itinerary visiting landmarks that appeared in the film series. Held on board the barge ship, Magna Carta it will set off from London on its roundtrip and enjoy an afternoon tea. Along the way passengers Harry Potter film locations such as Picket Post close- the real life Pivet drive. Virginia Water (where Harry encounters Buckbeak at the lake in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”), the Great wall and Hogwarts and if that isn’t enough you will also experience a behind the scenes tour at Warner Studios. This truly is a fantastic opportunity for any Harry Potter fan, young or old.
Other stops include Windsor castle, Hampton Court; all tours are included in the price.
The Harry Potter cruise is seven nights, and there are two departures available: August 5 and August 19- perfect for school holidays.

In addition to tours, the cruises include all transfers, the afternoon tea experience on embarkation day, all meals onboard the ship, all wines with lunch and dinner, an open bar and use of onboard bicycles in port. Fares for a standard cabin, based on double occupancy, start at £3875pp. There’s also an option to charter the entire ship. The price maybe a bit steep but it really is a once in a life time trip. I can imagine this would be a big seller to over seas customers especially Americans who enjoy our culture and history. So with this they would be getting the best of both.
