Experiencing Eclipse

Last Sunday I was fortunate enough to be invited on board the Celebrity Eclipse whilst it was docked in Southampton. This is a cruise ship I have been wanting to go on in a long time, so jumped at the opportunity. If you didn’t know already, this is the last year Celebrity Eclipse will be sailing from Southampton and is being replace by Celebrity Silhouette in 2018. It’s always nice when cruise lines mix it up a bit as we tend to get the same ships year after year from Southampton.

My first impression is what a beauty- which I don’t think you can say about all ships! Once on board we were taken to the Sky Lounge which is a lovely bright room with a bar. There are so many windows it really does light up the room. Afterwards we began our visit of the different balcony grades. I can say that all were beautifully furnished, spacious and again nice and light with attractive decor and furnishings. The balconies themselves were also a good size, easily enough room for two people.

The next balcony we looked at was a Celebrity Suite, Royal Suite and the Penthouse suite. These all come with extra amenities:

For the Royal Suite and Penthouse suite they also receive the following:

Complimentary beverage pack

Staying in any of these grades really is an experience in it’s self.

I would highly recommend Celebrity to couples who are young or young at heart. You are in for a real treat and an experience you will never forget.
