Arriving in 2018….The Round Up!

 

2018 will be a really exciting year for cruising and as the cruise lines have released teasers of information of the ships entering service in 2018, Nothing quite lives up to the feeling of stepping on board a brand new cruise ship and seeing the latest innovations and designs. So here is a quick round up of what we know so far…

Symphony of the seas – arriving spring 2018 will be the largest cruise ship ever built. Innovative features will be added to this mega ship carrying over 6000 passengers. Part of Royal’s Oasis class of ship and sister to Harmony of the seas following a season in the Med from Barcelona Symphony will be home ported in Miami – with a brand-new cruise terminal being built to accommodate her. Celebrity Edge – Entering service in December 2018 – The brand new edge class ship from Celebrity promises to deliver a boat load of features never seen before at sea. At full capacity Edge will carry 2918 Passengers and boasts the magic carpet the size of a tennis court that will transport guests throughout the day offering al fresco culinary journey in the form of ‘Dinner on the Edge’ to a luxury embarkation station on deck 2. MSC Seaview – Following the launch of MSC Seaside in December 2017, MSC Seaview summer 18 in the med before heading to brazil and the southern hemisphere for the winter season taking in Santos, Ilha Grande, Buzios, Porto Belo and Camboriu. Seaview will be known as the ship that follows the sun will include a 360° promenade with glass railings running around the entire ship – perfect for those sun worshipers

Norwegian Bliss – Norwegian are branching out with the introduction of bliss – Built specifically for Itineraries in Alaska and will hold the title of the largest ship to sail Alaska during the season and Sailing the Caribbean, Launching in June 2018. The ship will boast the largest racetrack at sea, for those worried about the noise, you can rest easy in the knowledge that the cars will be electric powered.

 

MS Nieuw Statendam – Holland America will debut their latest pinnacle class ship, alongside its sister ship MS Konigsdam – Statendam will keep within the tradition of nautical heritage known well by its loyal customer base whilst offering 21st Century elegance. Her premiere voyage will be a transatlantic sailing from Rome to Fort Lauderdale on the 05th December 2018. Click Here for an introduction to Holland America Cruise Line
