Is January the best time to book a cruise???

So Christmas and new year is over for another year. I hope you all had a good one. I am back to work after having a whole day off. What I want to discuss is whether or not now is the right time to start booking your next trip away.

I have worked in travel over 11 years now and traditionally January and February is known as peaks. This is the peak period where a lot of customers start thinking of booking there holiday for that year. Christmas is over and people want things to look forward to. During January and February it is normally a time where the staff aren’t allowed any holiday as it is anticipated to be a very busy time of the year. A lot of cruise liners start new campaigns during this time of year and also there are some heavily discounted holidays. The question I wanted to ask today, is peaks the best to book for your next cruise? The answer i would say is Yes. I know a lot of people like me over spent for Christmas, however there are some really good offers to have. If you are planning to book a cruise for this year any way then why no do it when the prices are lower. Not only will you get lower prices you are also likely to receive extra money to spend on board. Other benefits of booking during peaks are Free drinks packages. Free Child places and buy one get one half price on adult fares. For those of you the cruise regularly you may say but I can get these offers anytime through the year? Yes you can however you don’t know when they are going to be and the offers are likely to be as good as these.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Have you booked in the peak period before. Are you one of them people that hold out until January before you book? Or do you disagree with me on this
