We have just returned from the most relaxing cruise holiday ever .After a short flight and transfer had a smooth check in[accompanied by a glass of fizz!] Our cabin was spacious, spotlessly clean and well maintained by our cabin steward .The daily fresh fruit, complementary beach bag and occitaine toileteries were wonderful touches .None of the cabins had balconies but the deck space more than made up for this and also generated a very friendly atmosphere amongst the passengers. The food was on the whole exellent with almost no queues at the self service buffets at breakfast and lunchtime .The freshly cooked french toast was divine.Although there were no formal nights each dinner in the restaurant was special .The menus were well thought out .Food quality and presentation was superb and the little touches like a choice of dips as well as butter to accompany a basket of freshly baked bread made each meal memorable. There was no additional charge for eating in any of the speciality restaurants.
All members of the staff from the captain to waiters and cabin stewards were so friendly and hepfull .We are looking at booking our next Windstar cruise soon

Totaly agree, Wind Surf for us was a wonderful experience. We sailed on her for two weeks in the Med in October, and like your reviewer found the food, accomadation, and the crew excellent.
Prior to this cuise we had only ever sailed 5 times always with Cunard as Queens Grill Passengers (the longest duration was 4 weeks) and been very happy. So this switch to a very small ship in comparison was a major departure. We had a standard cabin which was very well designed with ample storage space, very clean, and well serviced. Couldn't complain about the bathroom and the excellant shower (one that almost washed you down the plug-hole).
We had 240 passengers (max compliment is 308) and 170 crew, and it seemed that courtesy and willingness to be of assistance ran through their blood. On returning home we wrote to the Captain expressing our appreciation to him and all his team for contributing to a wonderful holiday. We shall certainly sail with them again, and, we are now sold on small ships
