2nd trip

Reviewed By: on
Just returned from 2nd trip on the boat, enjoyed it just as much as the first. we had an outside plus cabin on deck 8 which was much quieter than deck 9 but could do with a better hairdryer and newer tv but all in all ok. new this time was happy hour which covered various drinks in 3 different bars from 3 till 5.30. Bought a wine package but watch the prices its not always better value to go for more bottles than 2 smaller ones and also the price of the wines you pick from vary. Took big red bus tours in las palmas 17 euros and funchal for 12 euros [much better trip] if you show your ticket from the first trip to the bus driver on your second trip you receive a discount. Also took the cable car in funchal 15 euros return, if you take the basket ride down be aware that it only takes you half way down then you have to walk or get a taxi. took and organised trip in agadir, you are not allowed to walk of the port as it is a working port, you have to take a taxi[fixed price].Food on the whole was good [worst meal again was the captains gala night ] Had a meal in the specialist rest for our wedding aniver which was very good but so much food and slightly over attentive service. Also used the beauty salon, special offer and price reductions appeared during the week [didnt receive to much of a hard sell on products that I have on other ships] Service on the ship is on the whole is very good and most staff very friendly it makes for an easy relaxed holiday at a reasonable price when you take into account flights etc.

We, 3 females, are on the Majesty on 12th April. It will be my 3rd time but a first for the other two. Your review was IMO a true and balanced one and it also gave some useful information for future cruisers. Pleased you enjoyed yourselves. If the weather is suitable we intend to get a taxi out of the port area of Agadir to its fantastic beach and walk along the modern promenade to the area of beach near where the 4/5* hotels are where we feel it will be safe and clean.

If you are saying you cannot walk out of Agadir port ... Yes you can but unless you know what you are doing ,I would say don't do it . Go by taxi or ships trip but if you want to walk along ports sea wall you should be fine as police are nearby guarding the ship .
