Our first time on the Majesty. The standard outside/inside cabins are very small - so if you want space get a standard +. However, having got over that small hitch, the Majesty is a lovely ship. Lots of places to sit, which is a nice change, no problem getting a seat in the sun (or shade) - and it was full up!
The buffet on the top deck is short on inside space, but you can take your food downstairs to the bar, so not a problem. We mostly ate in the restaurant with waiter service. The food was varied and good quality, with good attention given to anyone with allergies. Staff in all areas of the ship were delightful, polite and efficient - can't fault them. Everywhere was spotless and no sign of the dreaded 'norovirus' this time.
The west end style shows were a bit disappointing. The team worked hard, but they struggled with average material. There was one UK comedian on board, Bernie Flint, who was very funny. We saw him in April elsewhere and most of the material was fresh - other than winning Opportunity Knocks for 12 weeks, that is!!! Rest of the time we watched the resident band, Topmen (?I think), who were excellent.
We booked this trip short notice and enjoyed all inclusive. Although we would not want to play full price for this, when it is part of the deal it's
a great perk, as it includes soft drinks and specialty coffees as well as a wide range of cocktails and the usual beer, lager & shorts. There is no draught bitter, though, which is a bit of a bummer for my beer loving husband. Oh well! A small inconvenience.
The weather was glorious, given that it's December. We have been to the Canaries & Madeira before, so just ambled around rather than taking trips. It was our first visit to La Palma and we especially liked it as it is quaint, friendly and less 'touristy' than the other islands (as in the picture). We took a scenic tour in Agadir and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely beach and promenade.
Overall, the cruise was well worth the money, and we would be happy to go on the Majesty again.

Hi I have just booked this cruise for April for my husband myself and my 12year old grandaughter. Does anyone know what the facillities are like for a 12 year old. We have cruised with many cruise lines, we chose thomson as it had a good reputation for childrens activities. Hope someone can help us with this enquiry. Thank you. Regards Jan
