Just back from the Canaries for a second time on Destiny. All aspects of the cruise excellent particularly the staff in all areas. The one disappointment was the standard of the main evening meal in the Seven Seas restaurant. One three occasions in the week the main course was poor. The starter on two occasions was described as mozarella/salad/meat but the mozarella had been replaced by an unknown hard cheese. In the pork and turkey options in the main courses the meat was in the opinion of all our table re-constituted and tasteless. Our complaint was listened to sympathetically by the staff in charge who placed chocolate strawberries in our cabins on our return! It seems as if the food budget has been hit by an 'austerity' attitude in the company.
It would make us reluctant to travel on Destiny again.

We travelled on the The Destiny in December, the food was truly awful in the main dining room. Having cruised for many years with various lines I will never touch thomson again!!!

We were on the same cruise but would have to disagree about the food. We found it very acceptable and they were very helpful to my wife who has a wheat allergy. The waiter appeared each evening with the following days menu so she could choose and they could ensure that what was chosen was suitable. As to travelling again, with Thomson, certainly. On the Destiny, not a chance. 10 years past its sell by date. The excellent staff deserve a better ship! (and so do the paying passengers).

We've just been on the Celebration and the food was much better than we had on the Destiny last year - in fact we couldn't fault it - both put on 4lbs though! In fact everything was much better on the Celebration - can't wait to go on her again but wouldn't go on the Destiny whatever the price!

must tell my weightwatchers group! I have never managed to lose weight on any of the thompson fleet and have certainly never had reconstituted meat, we have always found that if something is not to our taste it will be replaced and there is always a good choice
