Just came back from the caribbean with Destiny.Arrived at East Midlands airport and had a very quick and no problems check in.The plane 767 was spacious and had individual screens on back of seats which occupied us for most of the flight (not had this service on other longhaul flights)Arrived at La Romana where we led off the plane straight to an awaiting bus and 15mins later we were at the port joined the queue and were on board within 20mins.We were escorted to our cabin and 15 mins later our luggage arrived a brilliant service,much more efficient than the larger ships we have been on.The cabins are small and do need a refurbishment although ours was very clean and beds comfy(stayed in 4089 outside cabin midship) The staff were extremely friendly and hardworking and nothing was too much trouble.As we like to do our own thing when in dock they were very helpful in telling us where to go and how best to get there no pressure to purchase the organised excursions as is the case on other ships.The entertainment was very good and a different show every night although the same team performing became a bit monotonus.The food was good (seven seas restaurant)and I ate fish every night and could not fault any dish at all.The Lido restaurant was a bit like a cafeteria but a good choice of food.All in all a very friendly and fun ship to be on we met some wonderful people Pete and Hazel,Rita and Brian,Richard and Julie and many more I would certainly book again with Thomson and we are going to try the Dream next.If you want a large ship with all the trimmings then try one of the other larger cruise lines if you want fun ,and friendliness then try Thomson.
