I have 4 sisters and at the end of Jan 2010 we went on the Island Escape...do not go on it I have been on 2 other thomson cruise ships and expected the same but it is not good it is old and should have had a refurb before thomson sent it out maybe i was unlucky but had a cabin right at the front of the ship and the noise was terrible...i hardly slept and i am not a light sleeper but reception said it was just the waves crashing on the ship but it was soooo loud it sounded like machinary also the lights and fittings all rattled however the food is fantastic as on all thomson cruises and the entertainment was quite good the only thing i would moan about was the fact you had to pay a £15 service charge in the waiter restaurant unlike spirit and destiny where it is included...just do not book to go on it is my advise

We went on the Island Escape in March and whilst I agree that it is not up to the standard of the Celebration, we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. We booked a standard inside cabin and were allocated one on deck 8 towards the forward end. Whilst small it was comfortable and very quiet with none of vibrations and noise that we had on the Celebration in an outside cabin on deck 4. The food was very good as was the entertainment. We missed the waiter service in the 2nd restaurant and thought the £14.99 PP cover charge in the A La Carte exccesive. Overall though - a good holiday

My wife and I went on this cruise on 5 Feb this year. We had great weather and thought it good value for money. The ship was clean, the staff helpful and the entertainment excellent. All in all a very enjoyable time.

Hi, I am going on this cruise 2nd April, my first time on a cruise. Can you tell me if there are any sockets in the cabin for say charging mobile phone, taking own hairdryer etc and what sort of connection they are.

i also went on this ship with my friend and the staff were great but the ship needs sinking before it does of its own accord was dirty, water in the restuarant towels to soak it up which my friend tripped over not good for price we paid was going again this year but wont be on this ship stay away if you dont want to be dissapointed.

We went on the Island Escape on the 6th of Feb and had a fantastic value holiday we got what we paid for, a three star cruise but with five star service and entertainment.
