I cruised onboard the SuperStar Virgo on October 2011 and I had in general a good cruise. The service is still as good as my past cruises with Star Cruises but the food standard has deteriorated. Hence, I would recommend that all cruisers dine in the non fare-inclusive restaurants (the Japanese food and Blue Lagoon served really good food).

The cabins were quite small, considering that it was an inside stateroom, but it was still comfortable. A problem, though, is the onboard air-conditioning. I have some fellow cruisers who have told me that the air-conditioning in their cabin was not working. However, this problem was quickly solved by the friendly staff who arranged him to another cabin.

Entertainment was fair. The production shows were good. But the Galaxy Of The Stars on Deck 12 Forward of the ship now have slot machines. They have ruined the atmosphere of a relaxing lounge where I spend quite a lot of time (but not so much so now). I enjoyed the wide array of books and board games the ship had. I would say it's better than my previous Legend Of The Seas (Royal Caribbean) cruise.

Most people seem to flock to the casino, but this is better for passengers like me -- leaving more space in the public spaces. The Bellini on Deck 8 was splendid! Having a nice drink while listening to a live trio-band. I was totally relaxed. I heard from the crew that they may be refurbishing Deck 8 on the ship's January 2012 drydock.

Overall, the cruise was enjoyable -- only the food standard in the fare-inclusive restaurants (especially the buffet) was bad. I enjoyed the 2009-installed mega water slide. I would recommend this ship for those looking for a short-getaway and those seeking for a warm Asian hospitality.
Quality of Food2
Fare- inclusive restaurants were not that good. I recommend the Blue Lagoon on Deck 7 and The Samurai on Deck 8.
Entertainment3
Some production shows were not that great. Others were original and enjoyable.

Onboard Activities5
Lots of activities to do on the ship's daily programme (Star Navigator).
Cabins3
The cabin looks tired and in need of sprucing-up. This should be fixed on the ship's dry-dock next year
