We went on the Sprit of Adventure from the 14th December 2009 until the 7th January 2010 starting in Mumbai and ending up in Borneo. It was an amazing adventure. All the cruise member from the Captain, the Entertainments Manager and all his staff, the Hotel Directer to the Fillipinos who served us in the Dining Room or cleaned our cabins and gave us room service were all very charming, friendly and very helpful. All the cabins were cleaned every day to a very high standard and well stocked with all the necessary shower gels etc, towels were changed as soon as you had even finished using them.

We had eight days at sea and those days were packed with entertainment from the entertainment staff from line dancing to lectures. If one prefered one could just relax in the tropical sun on the decks, swim in the pool or use the gym or the very well stocked library to keep the brain ticking over. The days ashore we could go on the organised tours, or the optional tours or just do your own tour. The organised and optional tours were first class considering that we were in some very isolated islands where tourists were only seen a few times a year. All the transport ashore was usually by air conditioned coaches. Using local taxis was an experience and the local driving very eratic. At many of the ports the ship was greeted by traditional dancers and bands of the island, sometimes we ventured ashore by tender boat to explore. On our three and half weeks away we visited nine countries, endless temples, Elephant rides, The Komodo Dragons, Bat Cave temple, the Orangutans, we swam with sharks and snorkled with tropical fish and turtles. We met many interesting people, the food was delicious and varied, and wine was included with meals. The lectures were very informative and presented professionally. I am now looking forward to my next holiday.
