We sailed from Dover for our Norwegian adventure aboard the Spirit of Adventure. Embarkation was a dream with easy parking and a leisurely stroll onto the ship. We were shown to our cabin by the steward and were amazed to see our luggage already there. We had an outside cabin that was clean comfortable and of a fair size. Although this is a small ship we were delighted to find a marvellous library that had comfortable seating and a wonderful selection of books, CD's, DVD's, games, jigsaws and many other items that would fill our time. The ships crew have paid great attention to detail and provide everything that we could possibly need to make this a memorable week. The crew were attentive without being intrusive and were always smiling and cheerful. The lectures were full of interesting facts and humour and we enjoyed these. The entertainment in the lounge was entertaining but we loved to sit here and watch the world go by.
We were pleasently suprised at how smooth our journey was, even though it was a moderate sea state the ship glided across the North Sea. Having sailed on larger ships that have rolled and vibrated in the same conditions, we had been concerned about this part of our journey.
The food was delicious and with an extremely good complimentary wine at lunch and Dinner. The menu was well balanced with a good choice of quality food. The lunch time BBQ was a favourite with fresh sea beam from Bergen. We used the Verrrandah for Breakfast and ate mainly in the comfortable restaurant in the evening where there was always a table readily available. With attentive service and wonderful food we felt totally relaxed.
The excursions were varied and the free included excursions were of a high standard and most enjoyable. With all tips included and free wine and excursions it makes for a worry free holiday. We will certainly be looking forward to travelling on the new Quest for Adventure when she sails.

| Quality of Food | |
| The food provided was of an excellent standard, that was always cooked to perfection. Room service was very efficient and gave a good selection to choose from. | | Entertainment | |
| We really enjoyed the lectures and crew show. | | Shore Excursions | |
| we loved Bergen and after completing our tour we had time to discover the city. | | Staff | |
| The most brilliant crew afloat. If we had to mention one member of staff it would be George the Executive chef. Not only does he devise the wonderful choice of food but he also will come and help his staff serve breakfast and is a credit to his proffession. | | Children's Facilities | n/a |

| | Cabins | |
| The cabins are a good size for such a small ship. The cabin was well appointed and very clean. The complimentary toiletries were of a high standard. Although there was not a safe you could lock the drawer and we felt very safe. | | Overall Rating | |
