We flew to Venice with much anticipation, having read all the reviews of Seabourn, were we right to spend the large amount, or would it all be worth it?
We had booked with a TA who had organised a complete package, one night in 5* hotel in Venice 7 Nights on board Seabourn Spirit, then 2 nights 5* hotel in Rome.
We were certainly not disappointed. 5* Venice was amazing, then the next morning we were taken to our seabourn yacht.
We were shown to a lounge where snacks and champagne or fruit cocktails were available while we waited to be booked in.
Then we were escorted to our room. Very sizeable with a large seating area with settee and easy chairs, drinks cabinet already stocked with our preferred drinks, then our steward arrived with canapes, more champagne and choices of various soaps. The bathroom had a double sink unit and bath and shower. There was also a large walk-in wardrobe.
Everyone was so friendly, the staff almost anticipated what you needed before you realised it! The food was excellent, and so delicious. we usually ate in the main restaurant in the evenings, but it was outside on deck for breakfast and lunch.
There was always areas to sit on a sunbed or find a quiet corner to relax. There was a well stocked library and also DVD's for loan.
The activities were limited in number as it is only a small ship, but the cruise director Nick and His assistant Beth were excellent with their Broadway style show. There was also an excellent small band with singers and a duo and a classical guitarist, so no shortage of variety.
All in all we felt that the cost was money well spent and excellent value. The cruise included all drinks and tips so no unexpected further bill to pay.
We would highly recommend Seabourn and look forward to another trip.
